Designed to be an independent press society, the AfriSMC’s funding model is not linked to any specific institution or institutional agenda.  Therefore, the Africa Science Media Centre welcomes support of not more than 5% of its annual budget from a wide array of organizations and individuals with interest in the effective and accurate reporting of science in the media.
